Mark Taylor is part owner of the dance school and instructor. Mark comes from the world of Ballroom and has been dancing for a number of years.
After attending a Salsa night he believed he could recreate the same fun atmosphere but instead of limiting dancers to just Salsa he wanted to widen their abilities and introduce other dances such as Jive, Cha Cha and Argentine Tango to name but a few.
"Fusion Latino" launched in Cleethorpes on October 2009 and has been a great hit. There are now classes taking place in Leeds as well.
Marks approach to dance is to deliver a fun enviorment to learn in and at the same time allow everyone to join in with the social dance afterwards rather then just having a one hour class lesson and having to practice elsewhere.
What's your favourite dance?
"My favourite dance is The Waltz but it is Ballroom in particular that I love. From the Quickstep to the Tango I find dancing as a couple very rewarding."
How long have you been dancing for?
"I first started dancing in 2006 after attending a class lesson and became addicted to dancing."
Why did you want to learn to dance?
"In 2006 I moved to Leeds and did not know many people here. After watching a movie "Shall we dance" staring Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez about Ballroom dancing I found myself going to lessons. A few months later I ended up spending all my income with as many private lessons as possible and started attending competitions at Blackpool."
Where do you see your dancing going?
"My ambition is create an atmosphere of fun and learning at the dance school where people of all walks of life attend who want to learn to dance and have a great time"
