You will find two styles of dance schools in the UK,one being associated with the UKA (United Kingdom Alliance) and IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) and the other based around social dance.
Your UKA/IDTA school will enable students to take exams and compete in medalist competitions. These schools will also offer classes for students who want to learn for social dance and will normally take the form of an hours dance lesson.
Your Social dance school does not offer the exam route or medalist competitions but will teach you the same dance steps however you will find that the lesson is combined with a social dance.
At Euphoria School of Dance we offer the Social route for our students. Each week you will learn the dance steps and afterwards be able to practice your steps in a fun dance practice after the lesson.
